Masri Terms of Use

Masri (formerly ClayMasri, “we”, “us”) is a language learning app for Egyptian Arabic. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms and to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which governs your license to the iOS app. If these terms and the Apple EULA conflict, the Apple EULA controls for the iOS app.

Service

Masri provides flashcards, short lessons, and an AI tutor chat for learning Egyptian Arabic. Content and features can change. We do not promise perfect translations or fluency results.

Accounts

If you sign up with email, use an address you can receive mail at: password reset links go there. Keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. You may delete your account in the app at any time (Profile → Delete account); this removes your personal data from our systems as described in the Privacy Policy.

Free plan and Pro subscriptions

The free plan includes a limited number of daily flashcard reviews and tutor messages and the first lessons. Masri Pro removes those caps and unlocks all lessons, unlimited tutor chat, and all certificates.

Masri Pro is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple In‑App Purchase:

Prices are shown in your local currency in the app before you buy and may vary by country. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

• The subscription automatically renews at the same price and length unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions) at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; no partial refunds are given for unused time.
• Any unused portion of a free trial, if one is offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Use “Restore purchases” on the Pro screen to reactivate a subscription on a new device or after reinstalling.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse the AI chat, attack the service, scrape content, or use the app for illegal acts. We may suspend accounts that break this rule.

AI content

Chat replies come from automated systems. They can be wrong. Do not use them as legal, medical, or official advice.

Content and licence

Lessons, images, video, and the Ahmed character are owned by Masri or its licensors. You get a personal, non‑transferable licence to use them inside the app while you have an account.

Liability

The app is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent allowed by law we are not liable for indirect loss from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law of your country.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
